You took such amazing shots. And yes these wordless visitors do visit the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) They are such fascinating creatures.
DeleteImagine being able to snuggle up in a rose...how lovely that must bee!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that would be wonderful! Snug, with a lovely scent...
DeleteGreat photos, Beth! I almost never see dragonflies here but it's a treat when I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kris. Damselflies and dragonflies are pretty common here, partially because of the nearby ponds and lakes. This year, it seems like I'm seeing more damsels and dragons than butterflies.
DeleteIt's been a good year to observe the insects. ~~Dee
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. We need more rain to improve their habitat and conditions...hopefully soon.
DeleteLove your photos Beth. How do you get the dragonflies to light on something green? In my garden they nearly always choose something that makes an unattractive background like brown iris leaves that are dying back or worse. The roses are pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie. I merely observe and snap the photos. They are plentiful in the sunny potager garden. The roses always cheer me up, especially when they attract beautiful pollinators. :)
DeleteI love blue damselflies! They are so beautiful as are the metallic flies. Thanks for the lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteYes, agreed. And I love the metallic flies, too. Thank you for visiting!
DeleteHello Little Garden Friends!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteCheery little buddies. :)
DeleteGreat set of photos, Beth! In the first one, that damsel looks like it wants to challenge you to a duel! Summer insects!! Tina
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina. Yes, that damselfly seemed to be observing my movements very carefully. ;-)
DeleteSo lovely photos
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lillian. They are fascinating creatures. :)
DeleteGreat visitors to the garden and flowers.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are all welcome here. :)
DeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteThe first one (damselfly with shadow) is my favorite!
Have a blessed day!
Thank you, Lea. They are so fascinating to observe!
DeleteGreat shots of some amazing pollinators
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna. I could watch them all day. :)
