Beautiful view, Beth!
ReplyDeleteIt's a fabulous place in every season. :)
DeleteThe prairie is colorful even in winter (until it gets covered in snow).
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. Fabulously fascinating coated in snow and ice, though, too.
DeleteThis PictureMate igloos like it goes on forever.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very large swath of mixed prairie and Oak savanna, and bordered by woodland trails. :)
DeleteI just reread my comment. Obviously I was typing on my phone and it came out weird. I hope you could translate that. ha...
DeleteI was saying that this picture makes it look like the prairie goes on forever.
I would love to see it covered with snow if you get out after the blow and snow.
LOL. I do that, too. I understood, Lisa. I've been thinking of a good time to get out there on a snowy day. Part of the park is restricted to cross-country skiers when there's snow, but I think this section is open to walkers and dog-walkers year-round. I'm not exactly sure which section this is, but I have an idea. ;-)
DeleteFeels very much like snow-on-the-way to me!
ReplyDeleteThis photo was taken on Saturday, but we've been mild lately--low 50s today. But snow is on the way for the weekend and beyond...
DeleteBeautiful . . .
ReplyDeleteIt is a special place.
DeleteCaptures the spirit of December, before winter settles in.
ReplyDeleteThanks. And today we have a few inches of snow. Winter is here.
DeleteBeautiful.. we have no snow. It is so strange because in October we received 8 inches. Today, December 10, our high temp was 51!
ReplyDeleteYes, we were in the mid-50s on Wednesday and Thursday, and then Friday through Saturday we got several inches of snow. But this is our first accumulating snow. It will be interesting to see if it sticks around.
DeleteWe expected the snow here, but it never came. A little drizzle, then gone, leaving the prairie as it was.
ReplyDeleteI guess the swath of snow was rather narrow--a band across narrow sections of Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
DeleteVast sense of space. I love that.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great space for contemplation (and dog-walking).
DeleteLooks like lovely place, Beth!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite spots in the area, Tina. :)
DeleteSuch a beautiful winter's view. The photo needs no words.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lee. The location is comforting to me, even in its dormancy.
DeleteI clicked and enlarged as you suggest, Beth, and took in that magnificent view. Beautiful! P. x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam. :)
