[Note: All Roses shown here, and many more, were blooming in Memphis during The Fling. Most are horticultural hybrids. The last, I believe, is the straight species Swamp Rose (Rosa palustris), native to much of the Eastern United States.]

I can almost smell them! Thanks, Beth.
ReplyDeleteThey were enchanting, Layanee, at just about every garden we visited. And now mine are beginning to bloom, so...yay! :)

DeleteBeautiful roses, every one of them! Your photos do them justice! Tina
ReplyDeleteHi Tina: You are so kind. They were all so lovely, and it was wonderful to see so many of them in bud and at peak bloom. Can't get enough of them. :)
DeleteLovely! I especially like the coral ones.
ReplyDeleteYes, those coral and peach and orange ones are so unique and lovely. :)
DeleteJapanese Beetle, check. Aphids, check. Beautiful roses anyway, check! (Bet you had a great day!)
ReplyDeleteYes, reality. :) More beautiful than poisoned, overtreated plants. The Fling (four days) was wonderful!
DeleteWow! simply rosy gorgeousness! Amelia
ReplyDeleteThey were wonderful! It seemed like all the Memphis gardens had lovely, lush, full, and healthy Roses. It seems to be a good year for Roses here at home, too, with plenty of precipitation and a mix of clouds and sunshine.
DeleteSo many vibrant colors and pretty petal details.
ReplyDeleteYes, Tom, they were beautiful!
DeleteThey are lovely Beth. I love the yellow.
ReplyDeleteOh no, a Japanese Beetle!!
You did a great job with the photos, a rose photo calendar is on the way. :-)
Oh, good idea, re: the calendar. :)
DeleteSo many roses, I hope you had a lovely time at the Fling!
ReplyDeleteThe Fling was amazing! All the gardens were beautiful, and the Roses were in full bloom. :)
DeleteFabulous roses and of course, fabulous photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chloris. The Roses (and the Fling) were incredible!
DeleteOH, love them all. So many beauties. My fav is the one that might be 'Double Delight'. Looking forward to more of the Fling through your eyes and lens. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you're right about that multicolored one with the side view. I can't pick a favorite, but that one is beautiful. Thanks, and the Fling was wonderful!
