Better yet, have you dreamed of touring some of the most beautiful gardens in Italy?

If so, we'd be pleased to have you join us for a 10-day trip, "Enchanting Gardens of Italy," June 17-27, 2014. The trip is open to anyone--on a first-come, first-served basis. The major emphasis will be Italian gardens, but we'll also have time for sightseeing in Rome, Florence, and Lucca.

I'm teaming up with the owner of Viaggi di Gusto, a firm that offers custom tours of Italy. This trip is designed specifically for gardeners and friends. To learn more about the trip, you can click on the icon near the top of this blog's sidebar, or click here for the full itinerary.

You can also email me at plantpostings[at]gmail[dot]com with any questions or suggestions, or if you'd like to receive trip updates. I'll also be setting up a Facebook group soon for gardeners planning to attend.

Note: There's an 18-person limit for this trip. And those who sign up by Nov. 15, 2013, will receive a $100 per person discount.

Hope you can join us!

    1. Thanks, Lynne. I really enjoyed it when I visited a few years ago, too. I might not get over there again for a long time, but this will be a fun trip!

  2. Będzie to z pewnością wspaniała wycieczka. Piękne miejsca we Włoszech i piękne ogrody. Kilka planowanych miejsc już znam, bo byłam. Pozdrawiam serdecznie i zapraszam do mnie :)

    1. I seem to remember you posting about travels to Italy, Giga. For you, it's not so far away. So, you could spend your summers in Poland and your winters/springs in Italy. That would be nice!

  6. Wow that is a very wonderful event, if only i am like most of you who has enough for spending! I am now drooling with envy for the participants. Your shots are of course always inspiring for me, and i love all these shots. I was in Rome for a 3 day visit on my way back here from Sweden, and i toured the Ruins alone. That time i was still using a Point & Shoot, weeks should be allotted for photos in Rome alone, an incredible place!

  10. I came here yesterday with my comment and I guess it did not register. I was looking for your reply. Anyway, I love your photos and so wish I could be going, but my traveling companion will not be going and my fear of flying needs a companion to keep my mind off the flight.

    1. Hi Donna: I hope you can make it. I'll probably be flying out of Chicago, if you want to try to plan to fly together. That would be fun!

    2. Thank you Beth for the offer. I will have to look into the trip further to make sure costs work out. I would love to join the tour. I saw your reply to Donna, so there still is time unless it sells out first.

  11. It sounds like a dream trip. I was in Italy only once, right after college. I was not a gardener at that time, but even then I was amazed at how beautiful the gardens were. If only I could make this trip!
