    1. Wish I could stop over at your garden--you probably have Tomatoes just beginning to ripen? Plus, the weather there must be perfect about now? :)

  2. Yummy and colorful photos! P.S.: I'll miss them too...

    1. I know. BLTs just aren't the same without fresh Tomatoes. :(

  3. Now I'm hungry and I just ate lunch! Judy is also a lover of BLTs, in fact the only time of the year when she buys bacon is when we get ripe tomatoes out of the garden.

    1. Sorry. Me, too, and it's nearly 9 p.m. I think Judy and I are kindred spirits. :)

    1. Yes, I enjoyed your WW, too. I'm going to have to check them all out more often. So many creative posts!

  6. Ah, yes, that last fresh tomato...nothing else quite compares. I have the last of the tomatoes ripening in a bag in my garage, but they don't taste the same as those that spent all their days in the sun.

Thanks for your comment on my last post--I'm curious what book your book club chooses for next month or what you read last month. Our book club is new, and we seem to have a hard time agreeing on a book to read each month.

    1. I had picked these Tomatoes before the hard freeze. And I let them ripen with some other produce in a big pasta bowl. They were still pretty tasty, even though I picked them green. I'll send you a note about the books. Thanks for the recommendation!

  7. That is sad. The green ones brought in to ripen are never the same. I think I will make a BLT tomorrow, yours looks tasty.

    1. Usually I would agree with you, but these were picked green and ripened indoors and they were quite tasty! So much better than store-bought Tomatoes shipped in!

  8. Your BLT makes my mouth water! We have been reduced to store bought tomatoes for the past month. Nothing compares to one out of the garden.

    1. I know--I don't even like BLTs if the Tomatoes aren't fresh. I'm already planning to add more Tomato plants to the garden next year!

  9. Oh how I wish mine had lasted longer and that we had more tomatoes...so I try again next year to beat the blight. Maybe my new bed will help as well as picking better tomatoes for my area...mmmm!

    1. Hey Donna: I thought I saw on your blog that you had a nice Tomato crop? I've had blight before, too. That's a bummer! My crop wasn't very impressive this year, but in "normal" years the Better Boys seem to perform pretty well--here in my garden anyway. I'm salivating just thinking about them. ;-)

  10. Lovely, mouth watering....I wish I could grow tomatoes, but sadly they require a bit more attention than I am able to give during the summer these days. Shop bought tomatoes are a bleak comparison to self grown!

    1. Hi Helene: If you lived closer, I'd stop over and bring some Tomatoes. I agree--the store-bought ones are usually bland, gritty, and tasteless.
