Very nice memories on this snowy, wet day! Thanks for sharing, Beth!
ReplyDeleteYou bet! I needed some color and warmth, myself. The winter hasn't been too bad so far, but the memories of colorful blooms are always encouraging. :)
DeleteHi, I love the bee on the marigold.
ReplyDeleteStay cozy during our cold spell... we have been spoiled, I am not ready for negative wind chills.
Carla
Yes, we have been spoiled, for sure. It will be quite an adjustment next week, won't it? Poor animals and birds and other creatures. Warm thoughts for you and yours!
DeleteAbsolutely outstanding, love that Japanese lily.

DeleteOh my!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a colorful few days touring gardens in the Philly area. And so many amazing plants!
DeleteA beautiful collection, Beth! Lotus, toad lilies and crocus - *SIGH*
ReplyDeleteI know; I didn't have much luck when I planted toad lilies before. I think the rabbits ate them. I've never tried fall crocuses, although I have quite a few spring crocuses. :)
DeleteGreat to have beautiful photos of flowers to enjoy while we wait for Spring!
ReplyDeleteYes, the memories cheer me up. :)
DeleteOh, this is lovely. Every one of them is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a really fun Garden Fling, and the memories continue...
DeleteLovely! I enjoy the bees that have photo-bombed your post. I love taking photos of bees...I miss seeing them out the window and when I am in the garden.
ReplyDeleteOh, I so agree! The pollinators are so fun and fascinating to observe, and it's so encouraging when they visit the blooms. I'm dreaming of their visits from March to October. <3
DeleteI love your cheerful photos, Beth. Just made a note to search for colchicum and tricertis.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie. Yes, I've never tried autumn crocuses. They are beautiful, and they were plentiful in the PA Fling gardens we visited. I have quite a few of the spring crocuses, though. I didn't have luck with the Tricertis plants many years ago. I think the rabbits ate them. :(
DeleteThe memories might be wordless, Beth, but they’re lovely memories to look back on at this time of the year. It would be hard to pick a favourite, but if I had to, I’d place the roses first, then the colchicums and anemone. They’re all inspiring - lovely photographs!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Catherine. They're all amazing blooms, and remembering them helps me make it through the cold, dark winter days. LOL.
DeleteTricyrtis is my favorite, though the clematis seeds, anemone, impatiens, and sarracenia are up there too. Nice to have flowers to look at on such a gloomy, rainy day!
ReplyDeleteYes, the memories help brighten the spirit during the winter. I really can't pick a favorite, myself. There were so many highlights of the Philadelphia Garden Fling!
DeleteMemories of warmer days. Sigh. It is gray and cold outside today but will warm up to 48 degrees - I'll take it! It beats the past weeks.

Yes, indeed. It's been a relatively mild winter here, but I still miss the weather of the warmer months. A high of 53 tomorrow in S. Wisconsin will feel fabulous...but then we're back to 30s and 40s. Oh well...
