The numbers of monarchs were definitely down this year, which made the entire butterfly season disappointing because their numbers are usually quite high here. Here's hoping for more butterflies for both of us next year.Beth at PlantPostingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10473637655960119672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3905148744278712684.post-54624334808326035302022-11-01T16:28:45.922-05:002022-11-01T16:28:45.922-05:00Beth, I'm so inspired by your butterfly sighti...Beth, I'm so inspired by your butterfly sightings and beautiful photos. I've been disappointed this year with the variety and number of butterflies passing through my garden this year. I usually see some giants each summer; I only saw a couple this year. I do agree, though, the range of the butterfly species is incredible, and some of them (including monarchs) migrate from central Canada (much further north than where I am) into Mexico and Florida. Amazing stuff!Beth at PlantPostingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10473637655960119672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3905148744278712684.post-73408353631262892562022-10-31T15:20:35.213-05:002022-10-31T15:20:35.213-05:00Thanks, Kris. There were many times this year when I didn't see monarchs at all. :(Beth at PlantPostingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10473637655960119672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3905148744278712684.post-40304285925410013782022-10-31T12:51:18.490-05:002022-10-31T12:51:18.490-05:00Hi Beth, wow, great photos.
